Terms of Use

Fri Jun 23, 2006, 10:15 AM
1.You don't need to tell us if you're planning on using a picture. You do need to tell us if you have used a picture. To tell us you've used a picture, artists most commonly send notes of notification. But comments on the picture used will also be found. We don't encourage you to leave a note on our front page, since those are harder to find and we may not see them.

2. Requests are welcome but will most likely take some time. I have an individual membership to Thanksgiving Point, the gardens where many of these pictures will be coming from, so many of those pictures won't be too hard to reshoot. But other pictures that come from places far from where I live may take some time, or may not be able to be reshot. We'll try our best. To send a request, please send us a note and we'll get back to you. :)

3. Give credit and a link to our page in your description for your piece. We are the owners of the original images, we deserve to be known for that much.

4. All pieces that use our stock will be favorited, if you don't see your picture in our favorites please send us a note or comment about it. It may be that we didn't get your first notification, so don't be shy about it.

4. MAKE AN EFFORT! It isn't appreciated if all you do is crop the picture and add a filter. I know it's tough trying to come up with original ideas and all (trust me, I'm a photomanipulator myself), but it's almost as though you're stealing our work (actually, it's pretty much that you are) if you don't actually do anything to change the picture.

5. OUR PICTURES ARE NOT TO BE RESUBMITTED! If we find anyone that is resubmitting our pictures as either art or stock, we will see that something is done about it. These pictures are ours and we are doing a favor to the public by lending them out to be used and changed for other art. It doesn't help the community if you're stealing our pictures.

5. We will be adding little "behind the scenes" pictures to our scraps. Please don't use them. That's not why they're there. They're just part of the fun, y'know?

6. On the matter of prints, the scenery images in our account are allowed to be used. DA PRINTS ONLY! Any off site use, commercial or otherwise, please send us a note for permission BEFORE you put it up on the internet. Also, send us a note if it is your intention to use our picture in a print- even if you have already sent us a note about using our stock for a picture. If you're submitting the picture as a Deviation and a Print at the same time, you can tell us in the same note.

7. These rules are not the same as those of our figure stock account. Please do not treat these pictures the same as those, there are different rules and boundaries. You can find our figure stock account here:

Pay us a visit and come see us any time! :)

Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.
